A Newton man facing state charges for allegedly using hidden cameras to film children and adults undressing in his home is now facing federal charges.

Seventy-two-year-old James Brock has been charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor/production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

In early July, Newton police searched Brock’s home after receiving tips from parents whose children had been to Brock’s home to use a tanning bed and a swimming pool. Police found more than 1,000 DVDs and VHS tapes of people undressing.

Brock faces state charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and invasion of privacy.

His federal trial is scheduled for October 28th. Brock is free on bond but must have no contact with minors and have no access to computers or the internet.
