Firefighters in Johnston are investigating what caused a house fire Tuesday afternoon.

The blaze started at around 3 p.m. at 6848 Northwest 51st Street.

City officials say a woman walked into her kitchen and noticed the back of her house was of fire.

She immediately called 911 and got her grandchild and dog out of the house.

The fire quickly spread to the neighbor’s yard.

Four fire departments responded and were able to get the flames under control before the fire got to the neighboring structure.

No one was injured.
