Johnston and Urbandale high schools face off on the gridiron Friday night, but football is not the only rivalry.

The schools are competing to see who can collect the most food for local food pantries.

Fans are asked to bring non-perishable food to the game. Officials will tally the total donations and announce during the game which side donated the most goods.

All the donations go to the Des Moines Area Religious Council, which feeds hundreds of hungry Iowa families each month.
