Gov. Terry Branstad hopes to see results from his trade mission to India.

In a phone interview from Chennai India, Branstad told reporters Iowa could see results within a matter of months.

“We had a number of great calls and personal meetings with a number of Indian companies, and I’m very hopeful we’re gonna see additional economic development investments in Iowa, as well as additional growth from Iowa companies here in India as a result of this trip,” says Branstad.

The governor visited several India operations of Iowa companies during his tour, including: Dupont`s Pioneer, Kemin Industries, and Emerson — the parent company of Fisher Controls in Marshalltown.
