A historic hotel in Perry will soon be open again after closing its doors in July.
According to city officials, Raccoon Valley Bank has accepted a purchase offer for the Hotel Pattee.
The 40-room hotel closed at the end of July when the owners defaulted on the mortgage and the bank took over.
The new owners, Jay and Denise Hartz of St. Louis, plan to open the hotel by the end of October or the beginning of November. Plans are in the works to give the hotel a thorough cleaning and Jay Hartz will be in Perry Saturday to hire staff for the hotel.
The deal is expected to be complete by the end of September.
