SECRETS SERVED: Oktoberfest

Gulahsoup

  • 2 pound of beef
  • 6 oz of tomato paste
  • 4 soup spoons of paprika
  • 3 onions
  • 4 big potatoes
  • salt ..pepper.. caraway seeds …marjoram
  • 1 quart of water

Dice onion, potato, beef small roast beef and onions and a quart of water and boil for 30 minutes.

Salad

Shred carrots. Slice cucumbers. Slice cabbage. Boil and slice potatoes. Have 4 different bowls add some white vinegar, salt and pepper.

For carrots ad plain yogurt. Mix in some plain yogurt and dill with cucumbers.

Roasted Pork

4 pound of pork shoulder

Marinate pork with salt, pepper, garlic, caraway seeds, and roast by 400F. After 1|2 an hour, add 6 cups of water and roast for 90 min. Keep meat turning every 30 min.

Sauerkraut

Cook sauerkraut with salt, pepper, and garlic for 1 hour. Add water as needed.

Dumpling

  • 1# of plain bread croutons
  • salt pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • parsley flakes
  • 3 ounces of flower
  • 2 cups of hot milk

Mix all items and form 2 inch diameter dumpling and boil in boiling salt water for 20 minutes, lightly cover.

Ricotta Cheese Strudel

  • 8 oz ricotta cheese
  • 5 spoons of sugar
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 oz raisins
  • knives tip cinnamon
  • 1 stick soft butter
  • vanilla
  • rum for flavor
  • 1 sheet puff pastry

Mix all items together. Spread puff pastry sheet. Center the filing, roll it and bake it at 300F for 35 min. Let cool and sprinkle with powder sugar.
