The Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones both have away games this weekend, so the east side of Des Moines might be the place to be Saturday to catch some great gridiron action.

Undefeated Grand View opens its home schedule with the highest ranking in school history. The Vikings are ranked 7th.

To top it off, this Saturday they face another highly ranked team, #2 Saint Francis.

Coach Mike Woodley says this team is only about one number, “We don’t care about national rankings. They know that. I don’t care about statistics. All we care about is if you win or lose a game.”

“A lot of top 10 top 5 rankings that we have to play have a lot of national championships in these teams and we knew it was going to be tough, so we knew what we was heading for. But we just had to get ready for it and we accepted the challenge,” says Presley Godson, offensive lineman.

The Vikings are 3-0 and the Cougars are 2-0 going into the matchup. Kickoff is 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Williams Stadium in Des Moines.
