TUITION FREEZE: Senate Plans To Keep Costs Level
Iowa Senate Democrats want to see tuition for college students to stay the same for the second year in a row.
According to the Gazette, the Democrats announced on Friday that they will seek another tuition freeze.
During the legislative session earlier this year, lawmakers and the Governor agreed to freeze undergraduate tuition at Iowa’s three public universities for the first time in 31 years.
Lawmakers will return for the next legislative session in January.
