A recent survey named the Waukee and Johnston School District’s among the 100 Top Iowa Workplaces.
The 2013 workplace survey named the Waukee School District to the number three spot and the Johnston School District to the number 14 spot for the large company category.
“I think this reflects the healthy workplace environment we strive to provide for our employees. Their work is tremendously important to our students, families and communities,” said Johnston Superintendent Clay Guthmiller.
The survey is an annual analysis of workplace conditions, conducted by Workplace Dynamics and the Des Moines Register. To qualify for the survey, organizations with more than 35 employers are asked to participate. Of the employers that agree, at least 35 percent of its employees must complete the survey.
The employee responses to the survey are anonymous but the overall results are given to Waukee and Johnston School Districts, along with the other participating employers, for their own personal use and improvement.
Edward Jones was named the number one workplace and Kwik Trip Inc. named to the number two place for the large company category. Quik Trip was named the number one mid-sized company to work for and Spindustry won the number one spot for the small company category.
