CYCLONES FOOTBALL: ISU Vs. Texas Game Highlights

The Iowa State University Cyclones went up against the Texas Longhorns Thursday night for one of the most exciting games of the season so far.

The game kicked off at 7:30 p.m. at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.

Both teams spent much of the game battling for the lead but the win came down to the final play.  In the last minute of the fourth quarter, Texas scored the game winning touchdown.

The Longhorns won the game, 31-30.

Watch the highlights from the game and the final play that really riled up Cyclones Coach Rhoads.

“You don’t just put your arm around the guy and tell him that it’s okay when that happens to him. I’m so proud of the effort my kids gave to win this football game tonight,” Rhoads said.

    Technically forward progress was stopped and the refs inadvertently said down by contact after a late whistle/reaction to stop the play. Forward progress is designed for that type of play.
