Fans of the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market can sleep in a bit Saturday.

The market opens an hour later at 8:00 p.m. It will still close at noon.

Organizers say it will remain at those hours until the season wraps up on October 26th.

This is the first year for fall hours. The director says the change will allow vendors to set up their stands with a little more daylight.
