When one part of South Dakota was seeing tornadoes and thunderstorms, other parts of the state were experiencing a winter storm.
The storm hit parts of Sioux City, damaging much of the community. There are conflicting reports from authorities on how many people were injured in the storm.
But while Sioux City was seeing funnel clouds, Rapid City was seeing snowflakes.
Snow fell in Rapid City on Friday and officials said parts of the state got as much as three feet of snow.
The snow has since tapered off but the area is still threatened by high winds that create white-out conditions.
Blizzard warnings have remained in effect for parts of South Dakota.
