Iowa State University Senior, Ryan François gathered boxes, tape, and tons of crafts, for kids to use at the first ever Ames Day of Play.
François says, “It’s so cool to see you know a pile of cardboard turn into a tower or a rocket ship and there’s so many things I think kids can take away from play like this.”
It’s all a part of the Imagination Foundation’s Global Cardboard Challenge where kids can get creative and collaborate.
Scott McLeod says, “We don’t play often enough as adults I think it’s good for us to roll up our sleeves and get down on our knees and make stuff and build stuff like we used to when we were kids.”
All ages put in hours of play, proud of their work by the end of the day.
