Fire investigators are looking into what caused a Wednesday night fire at a Grinnell hardware store.

Crews were called to a fire at Malcom Lumber and Hardware at 815 West Street around 10:13 p.m. When firefighters arrived they found fire throughout the building.

Crews worked to put out the fire and were able to keep it from spreading to the lumber section at the back of the building.

Grinnell firefighters were assisted by fire crews from Gilman, Kellogg, Malcom, and Brooklyn.

No injuries from the fire were reported.
