The Iowa Speedway announced what it hopes could be part of the answer to recent financial struggles, Thursday.
Track designer Rusty Wallace calls the new plan “the best of both racing worlds.”
Next summer, the speedway will host the truck and IndyCar race on back-to-back days starting Friday July 11th with the trucks.
Also, the IndyCar race will keep its title sponsor Iowa Corn for the next two years and they are extending the race by 50 laps. This will be the first 300 lap IndyCar race at the Iowa Speedway.
