TAX INCENTIVES: Ames Company Adding 700 Jobs

Software company WebFilings announced a massive expansion that will lead to the creation of 700 new jobs in Ames, the Iowa Economic Development Authority confirmed, Friday.

Plans call for a $73-million investment to build a new 60,000 square foot building.  It will be located in the Iowa State University Research Park.

The Ames-based company will receive state and local incentives totaling $5-million in direct financial assistance along with tax benefits of up to $15.5-million.

The new building is expected to be complete in June of next year.

Founded in 2008, the company has offices in nine other US cities and in Canada, the UK and the Netherlands.
