Beggars Night

Blank Park Zoo:  The annual Night Eyes event will be held at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines.  Kids can see the animals or just explore the Halloween-themed fun.  Night Eyes will be held at the zoo on Oct. 24 and 25 from 5:30 until 8 p.m. and on Oct. 26 and 27 from 1 until 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the gate or online here.

Living History Farms: Halloween Nights at Living History Farms is action-packed fun for the family.  Some activities include wagon rides, marshmallow roasting and pumpkin bowling.   Halloween Nights at the farm will be held Oct. 27, 28 and 29 from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. and on Oct. 30 from 1 until 5 p.m.  Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the gate or online here.

Valley Junction: Sunday afternoon is all about the costumes at the Historic Valley Junction in West Des Moines.  Kids can show off their costumes at the Pumpkin Walk and trick or treat through Valley Junction.  The Pumpkin Walk is free and is held on Oct. 27 from 2 until 4 p.m.  More information on the Pumpkin Walk is available here.

Beggar’s Night:  The city of Des Moines will be holding Beggar’s Night on Oct. 30 from 6 until 8 p.m.  The East Village of Des Moines will hold Beggar’s Night on Oct. 31 from 5 until 7 p.m.  Find out when your town is holding Beggar’s Night here.
