The Iowa Department of Public Safety has released a description of a man wanted for questioning in connection with an arson case in Woodbine.

The Everything Ellen Flower shop at 413 Walker Street was destroyed by fire on September 26th. Investigators say the fire was set at the west wall of the flower shop, which is adjacent to an alley.

Surveillance video from the alley shows a man walked into the alley and up to the back of the building, leaving after a short time. The fire was discovered about 10 minutes later.

Officials are hoping the public can help identify the man. He’s described as a white male, about five-foot-seven to six-foot tall. He was wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, light-colored baggy shorts with a dark strip down the side that went past his knees, and dark-colored shoes.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

If you have any information about the fire, you’re asked to contact the Woodbine Police Department at 712-647-2345.
