Grapefruits are only 50 calories per serving, which is one-half of a grapefruit. Grapefruits are great for weight loss and are very filling. Grapefruits are full of antioxidants which help to prevent signs of aging.
If the grapefruits are too tart for your taste buds, sprinkle a little sugar on the cut up pieces and stick them on the broiler for a minute, to let the sugars caramelize.
Grapefruits can also be put into salads. Grapefruit, onions and almonds make for a tart yet sweet salad.
