Voters will decide Tuesday on a referendum on the possibility of renovating the Polk County court-house system.

Voters turned down a $132-million plan in 2008 that involved building a courthouse.

The new plan would cost $81-million.  The old Wellmark building, main jail and current court-house would be renovated.

The referendum must be approved by 60 percent of the vote.  If approved, property taxes would rise about $18 a year for a $150,000-home.
