A group of trial attorneys called Justice in Deed is raising money for the Puppy Jake Foundation.

The attorneys select an organization each year to help during their annual conference.

The Puppy Jake Foundation raises and trains puppies for veterans who need service dogs for conditions like PTSD or for mobility problems.

The trial attorneys say they have already raised $2,500 for the Des Moines based which is currently training nine dogs.

“In the last couple years many of our trial lawyers have come to help more and more veterans,” says Elaine Gray.

“More have needed trial lawyers unfortunately to help them connect with benefits and so when we found out Puppy Jake was an organization doing the same thing we’re doing – helping veterans connect with benefits, it was just a natural fit for us.”
