Dr. Daniel Baldi was in court for a pretrial conference Friday morning.

It’s the last step before he goes to trial on for allegedly recklessly prescribing painkillers to ten patients who later died. One of those patients was Slipknot bassist Paul Gray.

Baldi’s attorney has also made a second motion to dismiss all charges. He says four deaths weren’t caused by drugs Baldi prescribed and in the other cases patients were taking medications with therapeutic levels.

A judge denied the first motion to dismiss the charges last month.

Baldi’s trial is currently set to begin December 2nd.

Odd, they go after this doctor, but not the drug dealing pharmacist, or the nurse who murdered a patient at the VA Hospital. Maybe the good doctor should have made a bigger donation to Sarcone’s campaign?
