HOMICIDE CASE: Trial Date Set For Shooting

The trial is set for two people accused of killing a 20-year-old in Des Moines’s sixth homicide this year.

Joshua McCoy, 20, and 18-year-old Marquice Morris faces first degree robbery and first degree murder charges.

They are accused of shooting 20-year-old Christopher Byers inside his home on June 26th.

Both men have pleaded not guilty in the case.

Their trials are scheduled to begin in January.
