The Iowa State University Cyclones played their homecoming game on Saturday against the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. The game kicked off at 11 a.m. at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.
The Horned Frogs are the first team to the scoreboard as TCU scored a touchdown. The Horned Frogs lead the Cyclones 7-0 with five minutes left in the first quarter.
But early into the second quarter, ISU makes a comeback. The Cyclones scored a touchdown, tying the game 7-7. But TCU comes back just minutes later for another touchdown. With nine minutes left before half-time, the Horned Frogs lead the Cyclones 14-7.
The third quarter was all about the Cyclones, starting with a touchdown just minutes into the second half of the game. The Cyclones even the score 14-14. With less than two minutes left in the third quarter, ISU kicks for a field goal. The field goal is good, giving the Cyclones the three points and the lead over TCU, 14-17.
The fourth quarter is an exciting one but ends in disappointment for Cyclone fans. In the last minute of the game, the Horned Frogs rushed for a touchdown. The extra points from the touchdown boost the TCU score for the win, 21-17.
The homecoming game win goes to Texas Christian University as the Horned Frogs defeated the Cyclones 21-17.
