The second murder trial for Seth Techel is not in session Monday because it is Veterans Day, but the defense will resume its case Tuesday.
Techel is accused of killing his pregnant wife Lisa in May of 2012.
On Friday, Techel’s defense claimed investigators rushed to judgment trying to prove Seth was responsible, instead of taking a closer look into the Techels’ neighbor. The defense also argues investigators did not test Techel’s hands or clothes for gunshot residue.
However, the forensic scientist says those tests cannot prove guilt or innocence.
This will be the third week of the re-trial.
