A historic home in Mason City has been saved from demolition.
Channel 13 reported on the plight of Egloff House in June. The 75-year old mansion sits in a flood plain and was scheduled for demolition.
The city offered the house to anyone for free on the condition the new owner would pay to move it.
On Wednesday, Channel 13 learned that a non-profit group is taking on that responsibility.
More details on the building’s future will be released next week.
