JOGGER INJURED: Grinnell Student Hit By Truck

A Grinnell College student was hit by a pick-up truck during a morning jog, Friday.

Witnesses say the 18-year-old jogged into the truck’s path.

The driver, 32-year-old Michael Vantomme of Brooklyn says he was unable to stop.

The student was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals for treatments.

Police don’t believe charges will be filed against Vantomme.

The name of the victim hasn’t been released.
