A local church is putting on a benefit auction for a man severely beaten during a carjacking in February.

The Maple Grove United Methodist Church is hosting “a day for Mike”.

Mike Wasike’s benefit will be at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center Sunday at 3 p.m. There will be music, food, and the auction starts an hour later.

Wasike is in a rehabilitation center in Oklahoma.

He can’t walk, talk, or see.

The three teens accused in the car-jacking are charged with first degree robbery. Their trials are scheduled for next year.
