Authorities are seeking help to identify a body that was found over the weekend in Harrison County.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office was contacted Saturday by a hunter, who discovered a body in a rural, wooded area about four miles southwest of Mondamin.

Officials say there was no identification on the body and are hoping the public can help them making an identification. The body is that of a white male, about 5’11” and 160 pounds. He had longer grey and black hair and did not have any teeth.

The man was wearing black Wrangler jeans, a blue t-shirt, a blue button-down dress shirt, brown plaid flannel jacket, and a blue zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a “Gold Harvest” logo on the left chest. The man was also wearing size 12 Red Wing boots.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy and officials haven’t released whether they believe the death is suspicious.

If you have any information about the identity of the man you’re asked to contact DCI Special Agent Chat Fiedler at (712) 322-1585.
