The Iowa Hawkeyes took on the Michigan Wolverines Saturday afternoon.  The game kicked off at 11 a.m. in Iowa City’s Kinnick Stadium.

The game begins and just two minutes later, Michigan snags the ball for a touchdown.  The Wolverines lead the Hawkeyes 7-0.

But the Hawkeyes fight back and with three minutes left in the first quarter, the Hawkeyes score a touchdown and tie the game score at 7-7.

The second quarter starts off a tie game but Michigan wants to change that.  The Wolverines get the ball and make the pass it to the end zone for the team’s second touchdown.  With eight minutes left before half-time, the Wolverines lead the Hawkeyes 14-7.

With just one minute before half-time, the Wolverines score another touchdown from a nine-yard pass.  Michigan boosts their lead against Iowa, 21-7.

But the third quarter starts and the Hawkeyes are back with a fight.  Just one minute into the second half of the game, the Hawkeyes take the ball for Iowa’s second touchdown of the game, from a 55-yard pass.  The Wolverines lead the game 21-14.

The Hawkeyes continue to come back in the fourth quarter of the game.  With 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter, Iowa runs the ball into the end zone, tying the game against Michigan 21-21.

But Iowa wasn’t finished yet. With six minutes left in the game, the Hawkeyes try for a 34-yard field goal.  The kick is good and the Hawkeyes take the lead against the Wolverines, 24-21.

The Wolverines head back to Michigan with a loss while Iowa celebrates the victory in Iowa City.  The Hawkeyes win the game with the final score 24-21.
