Golfing at some public courses in Des Moines ends this week.

Parks and rec officials say you can only golf at Waveland and Grandview through the end of the day Wednesday.

Blank Golf Course remains open year round, but you can only hit the links there if wind chills are above 40 degrees.

Waveland and Grandview won’t be empty all winter. If the metro gets at least four inches of snow the courses will open for sledding.

You can check the Parks and Rec Facebook and Twitter accounts for those announcements.
