The Iowa Hawkeyes are bringing a new trophy back to Iowa City after a win against Nebraska in the Heroes Game Friday.

The Hawks cruised over the Cornhuskers in Lincoln  38-17.  It's the first victory for Iowa over Big Red in Nebraska in 70 years.

Two early interceptions by Anthony Hitchens and James Morris  set the tone for the Hawkeye defense.

Mark Weisman scored two rushing touchdowns, and Kevonte Martin-Manley and CJ Fiedorowitz each hauled in touchdown passes from QB Jake Rudock.  Rudock finished with 126 yards passing and 2 TD's

Rudock left the game in the second half after suffering what appeared to be a knee injury but he was back on the sidelines after a quick trip to the locker room. Backup quarterback C.J. Beathard came into the game as a replacement and scored a touchdown on a bootleg.

The Hawkeyes end the regular season with a record of 8-4, 5-3 in the Big Ten.  Iowa now waits to find out their Bowl destination.
