The Iowa State Cyclones are out in Morgantown, W. Va. on Saturday to play against the West Virginia Mountaineers.  The game against the Mountaineers kicked off at 3 p.m. on Mountaineer Field in Milan Puskar Stadium.

The game begins and right away the Mountaineers snag the ball.  West Virginia goes for field goal just minutes into the first quarter and the kick is good.  West Virginia leads Iowa State, 3-0.

The first quarter continues and West Virginia gets the ball back.  With four minutes left in the first quarter, the Mountaineers score the first touchdown of the game.  The Mountaineers lead the Cyclones, 10-0.

Less than one minute later, the Mountaineers are back in full force.  West Virginia runs 38-yards for the team’s second touchdown.  West Virginia leads Iowa State 17-0.

With one minute left in the first quarter, Iowa State makes a comeback.  The Cyclones rush for 54-yards, scoring the team’s first touchdown of the game.  The Mountaineers lead the Cyclones 17-7.

The second quarter begins and the Mountaineers are quick to snag the ball.  Just seconds into the new quarter, West Virginia completes a 17-yard pass for another touchdown.  The Mountaineers lead the Cyclones, 24-7.

With nine minutes left before halftime, the Mountaineers have the ball and rush 76-yards for a touchdown.  West Virginia leads Iowa State 31-7.

The Cyclones fight back and just two minutes later, Iowa State comes back with a touchdown.  With seven minutes left in the second quarter, the Mountaineers lead the Cyclones 31-14.

Both teams return from halftime and the game stays calm for through the third quarter, with neither team scoring.

The fourth quarter of the game starts and Iowa State has the ball. With just 14-minutes left in the game, the Cyclones rush for three yards and a touchdown.  The Mountaineers lead the Cyclones, 31-21.

Less than one minute later, West Virginia snags the ball back and runs it 76-yards for a touchdown.  The Mountaineers boost their lead against the Cyclones, leading the game 38-21.

But the Cyclones come back with a fight, scoring touchdown after touchdown in the fourth quarter.  With nine minutes left in the game, the Cyclones complete a 62-yard pass for a touchdown.  The Mountaineers lead the game 38-28.

With five minutes left in the game, the Cyclones go for a 31-yard field goal.  The kick is good and the Cyclones really start to catch up to the Mountaineers.  West Virginia leads Iowa State 38-31.

With just one minute left in the game, Iowa State ties the game.  With a complete pass into the end-zone, the Cyclones even the game score.  The game is tied in the final minute at 38-38.

With the game tied at the end of the fourth quarter, the Mountaineers and Cyclones head into overtime.

Now in overtime, Iowa State tries for a 40-yard field goal.  The kick is good and the Cyclones lead the game, 41-38.

But just minutes later, West Virginia tries the same move.  The Mountaineers go for a 41-yard field goal and it’s good.  The game is now tied in overtime, 41-41.

West Virginia goes for another overtime field goal.  The kick is good and the extra three points put the Mountaineers in the lead, 44-41.

But the Cyclones get the ball back and go for another overtime field goal.  The kick is good and the Cyclones tie the game again at 44-44.

The overtime round gets a little more exciting, Iowa State scores a touchdown and pushes for a two-point conversion.  Now into triple overtime, the Cyclones lead the Mountaineers 52-44.

The Mountaineers try but aren’t able to get the ball back to the end zone.  The Cyclones win their final game of the season in triple overtime, 52-44.
