A few of the season’s Christmas trees made their way to downtown Des Moines, to be a part of the annual Festival of Trees and Lights.
This year’s festival is being held at Veterans Memorial Auditorium and will run through Sunday.
Tickets are just $5 but will have trees, treats and entertainment for the whole family.
The money raised from the Festival of Trees and Lights goes toward Blank Children’s Hospital.
“You see almost awe and bewilderment in their eyes because how much this community supports our hospitals and our families, it’s really amazing,” said Julie Pedigo of Blank Children’s Hopsital.
“I think when they come in and see everybody and knowing that the money supports Blank, it really means a lot to them,” Pedigo said.
