When fans call out for you to get them, kill them, take the other team down it is just hyperbole, isn't it? Are the jeers and catcalls just intended to get the other team riled up or should they actually be upset by the taunting?

When an actual fight broke out during the Michigan and Ohio State game, was it totally uncalled for that the players were throwing punches and kicking the bench? Or are the fans partially to blame, for loving the sports and the rivalries so much? When is the game just a game?
