The youngest Iowan ever sentenced to life in prison could win her freedom Tuesday.

The board of parole will review the case of Kristina Fetters.

Fetters was 15-years old in 1995 when she was convicted of killing her 73-year old great aunt.

Last month after 18-years in prison, she was re-sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.

Fetters has inoperable breast cancer and is currently living in a prison hospice unit.

Her family hopes she will be released to spend her final days with them.
