COUNCIL RUN-OFF: Gray Wins Ward 1 Seat

election

It took a month longer than expected but all seats on the Des Moines City Council are now filled.

In Ward 1, Bill Gray and Sean Bagniewski were the top vote getters in the November 5 election but neither obtained at least 50-percent of the vote.

In Tuesday’s run-off between the two, Bill Gray finished with 54-percent of the vote.

Gray will officially take his seat on the council next month replacing Haley Griess, who didn’t run for re-election.
