A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is now in place for Central Iowa until noon on Wednesday. Fog will reduce visibilities to a quarter mile or less, leading to hazardous driving conditions. If driving, slow down, use headlights and leave plenty of space between you It will remain foggy overnight. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 30s.
A cold surge of air arrives Wednesday afternoon after some morning fog and drizzle. The day will start in the upper 30s but will drop to the upper 20s by the evening. The winds will become blustery during the second half of the day as well. Lows by Thursday morning will be in the teens.
There is no significant warm up in the 7 days ahead and the next chance of snow will be Sunday night.
