Officials at Lincoln High School say everything went according to plan in Wednesday’s lockdown.

A district security officer notified the school about shots being fired in the neighborhood that prompted the 20 minute school lockdown.

Since student have early dismissal on Wednesdays, most of the students had gone home for the day but there were about fifty students on campus.

“We wouldn’t have done anything different than what we did yesterday. It went really well. Everyone was well prepared. It’s one of those things you prepare for but you hope to never use,” Principal Paul Williamson says.

Williamson says his school has a lockdown drill every month.
