Extreme cold keeps forcing it's way into the state. Lows tonight will be below zero....and wind chill factors will hover around -10 to -15. Thankfully the wind will die down by tomorrow morning.

Saturday will start off clear. Clouds will increase through the day and highs will only be in the teens.

Sunday will bring our only chance for snow this week. Expect snow showers on-and-off through the day. 3" of snow is expected in Des Moines. 2" to 5" totals will be common over central Iowa.

The snow will end Monday morning, but the wind will return. Blowing snow will cause low visibilities and slick roads Monday.
