A Des Moines religious leader will be back in court next week

Nermin Spahic is charged with third degree sex abuse and sexual exploitation.

The 40-year-old is accused of assaulting two women while performing a religious ceremony at their Johnson home in August.

Spahic, who serves as an imam at the Des Moines Islamic and Cultural Center Bosniak, has pled not guilty to the charges.

His trial is set to begin next Wednesday.
