The rescue of one of the two men working from a boom truck 40 foot up that was struck by a train has been released.
One worker was thrown over 200 feet from the I-35 bridge they were working on in West Des Moines and was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
The other man was able to reach and cling on to the underside of the Grand Avenue onramp. It took rescuers an hour to lower the man to the ground in freezing temperatures. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.
