What's Bugging Andy this week is all about the holiday spirit. Once those lights are up and Christmas carols are constantly playing, they put you in the yuletide spirit. But certain slip-ups bring your idyllic holiday mood down quickly.
For example, shouldn't all those playing Santa Claus at the shopping malls around the holidays at least have a real beard? Santa should be believable because kids can tell if you're a young Santa with a fake beard. And don't artificial trees defeat the whole purpose of having a Christmas tree?
And when someone wishes you a happy holidays or a Merry Christmas, is it really that offensive? And why should it be, when they often merely wishing you and your family a happy season.
