COOL & DRY: Slight Warm Up Overnight

Tonight temperatures will rise as our winds switch to out of the southwest, giving us highs in the mid to upper 20s for Thursday and Friday. There is another chance of snow by Friday afternoon, with snow totals of 2-4" expected in far SE Iowa. The Des Moines metro is not expected to see accumulating snow.

The southwest wind will help us warm up Thursday. Highs will be in the upper 20s the afternoon. It will be mostly sunny through most of the day.

Clouds will move our way tonight and there is a slight chance for snow showers Friday.

The rest of the weekend will be cool and dry.

Near-normal temperatures are back for the forecast next week.
