Authorities are investigating what caused a fire in a Dubuque Aquarium Saturday morning.
The fire started just before 2:30 a.m. at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. Firefighters said the small fire started on the second floor but was quickly put out by the museum’s sprinkler system.
The small fire only caused minor damage and none of the people or the animals at the museum were harmed.
Investigators said they do not yet know the cause but they do not suspect foul play.
