The city of Clive says some resident may have noticed cloudy water last week.

On Thursday a water sample showed high turbidity level of 1.52. Normally the levels are less than .1.

Officials say for a brief time calcium carbonate particles formed in a small percentage of the water being processed by Des Moines Water Works. Turbidity can interfere with disinfection and provides an environment for bacteria to grow, but officials say the risks of becoming ill from the water are very low.

Authorities say the problem has been corrected.
