Des Moines police were called Sunday after a woman allegedly pointed a bow and arrow at her neighbors and said, “should I shoot, should I shoot.”

Police say the incident happened Sunday around 4:15 p.m. when a couple, who lives on E. Washington, returned home from WalMart. They say their neighbor, 31-year-old Tiffany Whitley, came out onto her front porch and pointed a bow and arrow at the male. They say the bow was drawn back. The female had gone to unlock the door but when she returned she saw Whitley and yelled for the man to come inside.

They called 911 and when officers arrived they spoke with Whitley. She admitted to pointing the bow at the man but claimed there wasn’t an arrow in the bow.

Police seized a bow and arrow from Whitley’s home. She was arrested and charged with assault – display of a dangerous weapon.
