More than 700 people have inquired about pets found at a gunman’s south-side home earlier this month.

Steven Vogel fired nearly 100 rounds at cars, homes and police on December 4. Officers fired back killing Vogel.

After searching his home, they discovered 55 birds, four cats and a python.

Vogel’s family took six of the birds and two cats. The rest have been signed over to the Animal Rescue League for final evaluations.

The ARL is meeting Friday to determine the best way to start the adoption process.
