A Grand Jury indicted six Chinese Nationals last week.
The six are accused of trying to steal trade secrets from seed corn companies in Iowa and Illinois.
According to the indictment, the men stole inbred corn seed worth up to $40-million. The seed was taken from metro test fields owned by DuPont Pioneer and Monsanto.
The news came as no surprise for the founder and President of Stine Seed, Harry Stine. Stine sat down with Channel 13’s Dan Winters to spend Three Minutes in the Chair.
Stine has received many accolades, including being named to the Des Moines Register’s list of the 50 Most Influential Iowans.
