Police say a car stolen in 1999 has turned up in a northwest Iowa pond.
Orange City police say workers were digging through a pond in the Dunlop Wildlife Area and found a car on December 5.
The workers wanted to make the pond deeper by draining the water levels and they saw the car break through the ice.
The Sioux County dive team got the car out of the water.
Investigators say they are not sure how the car got there but found out it was stolen in Sioux Center 14 years ago.
